Background

Garrett joined the Strathmann group in Spring 2018 after completing his PhD with Fernando Rosario-Ortiz on the photophysical and photochemical properties of naturally occurring dissolved organic matter. Garrett’s research interests are in the characterization of dissolved organic matter and its reactivity in natural and engineered systems. He is looking forward to applying his background to studying the photochemical destruction of perfluorinated compounds. While not working, Garrett enjoys spending time skiing and hiking with his wife and 6 month old Golden Retriever, Jax.
