Background

Morgan Sulzbach is an undergraduate senior at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is interested in alternative fuel and chemical sources as well as water treatment processes. She is joining the Strathmann group for the summer of 2017 as part of the ReNUWIt REU program, working with Dr. Strathmann and her graduate mentor, Moses Leow. Her research is focusing on developing hydrothermal depolymerization processes for polyhydroxybutyrate enriched in wastewater biosolids. This work supports a larger integrated bio-hydro-thermal catalytic process for converting wastewater to liquid transportation fuels. She enjoys reading, hiking, and baking in her free time.
