Congrats to Estelle Cronmiller, Andrew Koehler, and Anderson Ellis on successfully passing their PhD qualifying examinations!
Aron Griffin had elected to join the group in August to pursue his PhD in environmental engineering. He is currently a Principal Engineer at Hazen and Sawyer, and previously completed his BS at Penn State and his MS at UC Berkeley.
Charlie Liu wins a presentation award at the 2020 Emerging Contaminants Summit.
Yida Fang wins an ACS Graduate Student Award.
Camille (Chiqui) Amador receives and Honorable Mention for her application to the NSF Graduate Fellowship Program.
2019
Estelle Cronmiller joins the group as a PhD student in Materials Science. She intends to focus on rational material design for waste organic carbon valorizattion applications.
Yida Fang completed an internship at CDM-Smith, supporting ongoing research projects related to transport and treatment of PFASs.
Garrett MacKay moved on to begin his position as Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University.
Camille (Chiqui) Amador joins the group as a MS/PhD student in Materials Science. She will be applying theoretical and experimental techniques to obtain deeper insights into the mechanisms of PFAS reactions with photo-reactive transient species.
Lindsey Wadsworth is joining the group as a ReNUWIt REU for summer 2019. She will work closely with her graduate student mentor, Andrew Koehler.
Congratulations to Xiangchen Huo for successfully defending her PhD thesis! Dr. Huo is moving on to a postdoc position at National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Congratulations to Yalin Li for successfully defending her PhD thesis! Dr. Li is moving on to a postdoc position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
